- Identify the universe of content (the content to be analyzed).
- Obtain examples of the content to be analyzed.
- Identify the coding units (by which the content will be divided).
* coding units : words, themes, characters, items, space and time measures - Specify a category system (into which content will be fitted).
- Apply the selected category system to the individual coded units.
- Revise categories based on application.
